最近,日本警ost announced that it has cooperated with Accenture and Japan Intel to actively join the new field of utilizing and maintaining blockchain transportation networks. Japan Post regards pharmaceuticals as a top priority for investment in 2021. It is expected to invest up to 100 billion yen to include the cost of building warehouses. It is reported that this quality supervision system can prevent the incorporation of counterfeit and inferior drugs during transportation and is expected to be applied to all consumer products in the future.

According to data from organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), transactions in counterfeit and shoddy goods and pirated goods amounted to US $ 509 billion (approximately 53 trillion yen) in 2016. The organization calls on governments and citizens to take appropriate measures as soon as possible . One of the characteristics of the blockchain is that once the initial registration is successful, the initial registration information cannot be changed. If the data does not match, the corresponding product will be removed from the transportation network, or it will be prevented from entering the trading market. Blockchain technology can also be easily used in important logistics.

Japan Post also announced that it will invest about 100 billion yen in the construction of a blockchain-based drug transport network, including the purchase of transportation vehicles and the construction of a warehouse capable of temperature control. In the process, Intel will provide sensors such as sensors to Japan Post, and Accenture will help Japan Post build the system.

Specifically, Japan Post will affix wireless automatic identification tags (RFID) to medicines and install sensors in containers that can read ambient temperature and location information. Special equipment for RFID and sensor information will be installed in factories, pharmaceutical companies, warehouses, and transportation vehicles. That is to say, the data of pharmaceutical products at each stage will be automatically obtained and uploaded to the cloud to share the transportation status.

Japan Post said that the logistics supervision system of blockchain technology can save time and expenses of manual inspection at various stages, thereby effectively reducing costs. RFID can also record anomalies. If an abnormal situation such as RFID is replaced, its corresponding pharmaceutical products will not appear in the transaction channel.
