Sato joins RAIN RFID Alliance
Sato Holdings has recently joined the RAIN RFID Alliance to integrate its industry knowledge and technical expertise into the integration of automatic ID solutions.
The RAIN RFID Alliance aims to advance the Internet of Things technology, with a specific focus on promoting UHF RFID standards ISO / IEC 18000-63 and GS1 EPC Gen2 through testing, support and education of service providers and end users. Sato joined a global forum of more than 160 members, seeking to accelerate the adoption of passive UHF RFID technology.
Sato has developed a package and label design that is completely free of polyethylene terephthalate, providing a more environmentally friendly option for companies that want to reduce plastic waste in the supply chain.
"RAIN RFID is a wireless technology that can incorporate billions of items into the Internet every day, enabling businesses and consumers to identify, locate, authenticate, and follow each item," explains Steve Halliday, president of the RAIN RFID Alliance. "The alliance is very happy to welcome Sato, and we look forward to working with companies and expect them to bring expertise to the alliance."
"With his expertise in system integration, RFID printer manufacturing, and antenna, label and package design and production processes themselves, Sato aims to become a comprehensive solution provider for the RFID business, while gaining greater visibility in the industry. Especially with RAIN RFID, we rely on our valuable partners to fill the gap and provide comprehensive automatic ID solutions to inspire and please customers, "said Noriyasu Yamada, executive officer and chief alliance officer of Sato Holdings.
