RFID is used for identity authentication and access control rights of enterprise users

Employee ID cards have become a common hallmark of corporate life. In large and small companies, new employees receive an RFID card that provides a visual identity and unlocks the company's gates during business hours. The RFID card provides employees with 7*24 hours access and records the time and personnel information entering the office building. It's less expensive, more secure, and easier to manage than physical keysin the event of a lost card or employee turnover, simply turn off card access.

The same card can access other business systems in addition to the gate access. Companies can manage employees' access to information, systems, materials, and equipment at work through cards held by employees.

To implement RFID technology to authenticate user information and control access rights, companies need to ensure that authorized employees have access to the information, business systems, materials and equipment they need, while keeping unauthorized users out of the door. Effective access control and user authentication help companies protect sensitive information (such as financial records, human resources data, or corporate IP), control materials and supply costs, improve security, and streamline workflow.

User authentication correctly identifies individual user information and matches the device or system it is using. Access control ensures that only authorized users can access assets or systems.

Companies can use a variety of policies for user authentication and access control, including physical keys (for self-service vending machines and unmanned newsstands), passwords, and personal identification numbers (PINs). However, these methods are often less than ideal, especially when workers need to manage multiple keys or remember different passwords and PINs for various systems. Using employee ID cards to access all the systems and materials they need during their work saves staff time, increases productivity, and is easier to manage in the business IT department.
