MIT develops new RFID sensor to prompt parents to change urine
In the context of the rapid growth of the RFID sensor solution market, recently, a research team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has successfully developed a miniature RFID sensor that can be used to detect the moisture content in diapers to A nearby receiver issues a warning so parents can change it in time. And it costs less than 2 cents to make and doesn't add bulk, making it ideal for traditional disposable diapers.
It is understood that the newly developed RFID tags can be embedded in the hydrogel of current disposable diapers. However, in a wet state, the hydrogel will swell and become easily conductive, thereby triggering the RFID tag and sending the signal to an RFID reader within a radius of 1 meter. The entire process does not require power support. Then connect the reader to your home WiFi to send alerts to parents in a timely manner.
