Fueling cars in India with RFID tags

In busy cities, allowing drivers to buy fuel for cars with RFID tags will help reduce the size of toll booths and allow drivers to easily refuel their cars. What the driver has to do is drive the car in front of a clearly marked gasoline pump, and the reader will collect data from the electronic tag and fill it with fuel in the way that the driver fixed in the mobile phone app. The money was deducted from the driver's bank account.

Each driver gets an RFID tag, which is linked to the application. The driver can even set the type and volume of fuel he intends to purchase in the application before reaching the petrol pump; when the driver reaches the petrol pump, the reader at the gas station will read the RFID tag information attached to the windshield. This information is easily available to gas station employees. Once the required fuel is filled, the driver will receive a notification from his app.

Mumbai and Pune, India, have launched a fast track for car refueling. This refueling facility will be extended to other major cities in the country. Industan Petroleum Corporation Limited installs RFID readers on petrol pumps operated by Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Pune

This facility has 120 petrol pumps. Hindustan Petroleum plans to expand the facility to other busy Indian cities in March. The company serves approximately 90,000 customers in these three cities.
